  • Prior to all first time appointments please ensure a Consultation Form has been completed.

  • Remember! For the most effective and comfortable wax experience the hair will need to be the length of a grain of rice. If any trimming needs to be done, please wait and allow your Therapist to do it. This will avoid a wasted journey if you trim the hair too short.

Pre-Wax Info

pre-wax information:

To get the best results from your wax, please follow the guidelines below.

  • If you haven't already, fill out the CONSULTATION FORM on the website so your therapist knows about any allergies and any wax preferences ahead of time.

Before your waxing appointment, prepare your skin so the procedure goes smoothly and without irritation...

  • LET YOUR HAIR GROW - Ideally the hair should be the length of a grain of rice for the most comfortable and effective wax experience.

  • CHECK FOR IRRITATIONS, SUNBURNS OR BREAKOUTS - Treat any rashes or sunburns before your appointment to avoid tearing skin while being waxed. Look for any cuts or bruises as well: even small shaving cuts can develop irritation when waxed. If you're prone to breaking out in a certain area, avoid getting it waxed. Waxing tends not to be effective on areas affected by hormonal breakouts. Should your sunburn or rash persist, postpone your appointment until your skin has healed.

  • EXFOLIATE -  Before your appointment, exfoliate in the shower to remove dead skin and lift trapped hair. Exfoliating will reduce the likelihood of ingrown hairs after the appointment. Using a loofah or washcloth, rub in a circular motion around the area you want waxed.

  • WEAR LOOSE FITTING CLOTHES TO YOUR APPOINTMENT - Don't wear skinny jeans or tight fabrics to your appointment. After your skin has been waxed, you'll want soft and comfortable clothing. Wear soft, loose clothing to avoid irritating your skin after the appointment.

Post-Wax Info

PoST-wax information:

To get the best results from your wax, please follow the guidelines below.

Some slight soreness, small bumps and redness are common and perfectly normal temporary reactions, especially if this is your first wax. This should settle over the next 24-48 hours, but please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.

Keep the waxed area clean and avoid heat and friction & during the next 24-48 hours:

  • No hot baths, showers or saunas (cool to lukewarm water only).

  • No tanning (sunbathing, sunbeds or fake tans).

  • No sport, swimming, gym work or other vigorous exercise.

  • No scratching or scrubbing the treated area.

  • No sexual activity after intimate waxing.

  • No deodorants, body sprays, make-up, powders or lotions on the waxed area, other than those products recommended by your therapist.

  • Do wear clean, loose-fitting clothes.

  • Do use clean towels after bathing.

  • Do apply an antiseptic cream regularly for the next few days, to soothe and  protect the skin. Always wash your hands before applying any product.

  • Do apply a sunblock on exposed areas of waxed skin before heading outside.

To  prevent ingrown hairs: starting a few days after your appointment, gently exfoliate the skin up to 3 times a week using a body mitt, brush or scrub. Moisturise the area every day to keep the skin supple and help new hairs grow through normally.

The first few times you get waxed, you might notice a small amount of regrowth after a week or so. It can take several treatments for your hair to get on a cycle that gives best results. Hair needs to be at least 1/2 cm long (think the length of a grain of rice) for us to wax effectively, so please don't shave, tweeze or use hair removal creams between appointments. to maintain your smooth appearance, we recommend regular waxing every 4-6 weeks.

PLEASE NOTE: IF CANCELLATION OCCURS WITHIN 24 HOURS, OR FAILURE TO ATTEND YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE FULL SESSION & AN INVOICE WILL BE EMAILED.
